I was glad to hear that students and faculty are going to have a public outlet for showing concern about the UF budget cut proposals. The Save Our Schools coalition of student groups is a good step for raising student awareness about the budget crisis at UF.

I hope that after the rally, which will get local media attention, that students and faculty get on their cell phones and e-mail — contacting the students’ parents and the state legislators who are working on the budget right now.
