The Journalism Department met for two hours to discuss and vote on the 14 proposals. 

The required equipment — The report is that funds will be available to help students for whom the approximately $2,000 price tag (Apple laptop, microphone, camera with video capability) would be a problem. Hearing that, the proposal passed.

But that could impact other departments. So they may need to agree on the equipment requirement for their students.

The required grammar test — Most hope this will eliminate the need for so much grammar instruction in our classes. A sub-committee had been meeting to discuss the logistics, but much left to be determined and developed. Proposal passed.
