Learning for teachers and students

Summer workshops like the High School Journalism Institute at Indiana University not only provide instruction and practice opportunities but also motivate teachers and students to move to the next level in their media work.

In our New Technology for Journalism Teachers class, most of the teachers in the class have been teaching for more than five years — some for 10 or more years. But they want to see their program — and their students — continue to learn. So even though they have successful media programs, they are here to learn new technology applications to incorporate into their teaching and advising. Judy and I are enjoying working with such a motivated group.
