Twitter can promote more active student engagement in class — even large classes

Ellyn Angelotti showed The Twitter Experiment that has teachers and students talking about how they are using Twitter to ask questions and share information in class.

After the video, she encouraged us to just do it. Once we identify a social media that could have journalism implications, we should make a class assignment to try it out. We can ask students to try out a social media application for 30 minutes and then prepare a report on what they’ve learned.
