A full day of flying to California meant l graded 40 papers and reviewed the agenda for the New Teacher Cemter Symposium. This is the first time I’ve attended the NTC Symposium, and I’m looking forward to hearing from trainers and participants who will be involved. I’ll share with you.

The first training session for the 10 new mentors was held at the Journalism Education Association/National Scholastic Press Association Convention in Philadelphia, November 2007. A major concern in education today is the shortage of teachers at K-12. Thousands of veteran teachers are retiring. Almost half of new teachers of all teachers who now enter the field leave it within five years.
